Alameda County’s Measure B leading in early results
Early results show well above the majority of voters in favor of approving Measure B an East Bay parcel tax that supporters say is needed to fund equipment facility and machinery improvements in a local hospital district according to the Alameda County Registrar of Voters If passed on Nov Measure B is expected to generate million annually over the next years for Washington Township Robustness Care District a special district that includes the cities of Fremont Newark and Union City as well as parts of Hayward and Sunol Kimberly Hartz Washington Hospital s chief executive officer commented in a declaration she is thrilled with the early returns on the results and was confident that the measure would eventually pass She thanked all who voted in this polling We are deeply grateful to those who believe in our mission and vision for local physical condition care Hartz wrote Passage of Measure B will help ensure Washington Hospital is able to provide the highest level of urgency and medicinal care to our entire area for generations to come We are deeply appreciative of the trust and confidence our neighborhood has placed in us Ann Lopez voted yes on B Tuesday night at the Mark Green Sports Center in Union City Sooner or later hospitals have to get funded I m an advocate for mental medical so anything for healthcare I m a yes Lopez a Union City resident revealed in an interview I care because it s funding for a good cause Similarly Esther Go a -year-old from Castro Valley voted yes She stated with her vote she s hoping that it will help out people who need it But others were not so supportive of the proposed tax I don t like it Jim Nelson a Fremont Republican voter declared in an interview after voting at his local vote center the Veteran s Memorial Hall He argued that the hospital is asking for more and more money It s just constant It doesn t stop Jose Madrigal a Fremont Libertarian who voted at the veteran s hall also voted against B I don t know why they did it Madrigal revealed Though he opposed it in the ballot box Madrigal also declared if it passes he has no strong opinions on it I get it but in general we need to spend the money we have he noted Check back for updaters
